man who converted staple gun to real gun gets five years, as he should do,

And smoking and obesity and alcoholism????
Yep the same, make people responsible for their own actions.
It's a joke that fat barstewards stuff their faces and then get "The Fat Jab" on the NHS, my neighbour was one of these despicable cretins, thank God she ended up having to fund it herself, she's gone to Dubai now, she'll have to pay for all her health care costs.. hopefully make her more aware.

Apart from the drug use and associated schitt I don`t see much at all with the stapler/gun caper.
Fmd,stuff like that has been done forever.
We had home made cracker guns and proper crackers, gal pipe barrels etc
We made slingshots,we made cannons using black powder,we played with gelignite ( mates old man had a powder monkey licence) and the mate used to snaffle a stick or two. Another mate had a primary producers ticket to buy gelly for on farm use ostensibly for blowing out tree stumps....we blew up wrecked/dumped cars WE HAD FUN.
Schitt you could go to the Chemist and buy Pitts Wheat to poison sparrows,we could buy strychnine to poison vermin

We did everything back in the day that would get you slotted today.

if she keeps up with obesity, she litterally wont be able to put her finger on the reason she got the diabettes

The arguements on here that because something is illegal it is automatically bad, end of discussion, is quite entertaining.
Interesting take on it. If it's illegal, it's prohibited by law, regardless of what it actually is, and any subjective view of it. As FAC holders it's incumbent on us to be aware of, and abide by the law. That's non-negotiable to my mind.

Good idea … and people getting cheap surgery abroad and expecting nhs to pay, and anyone who wants to identify as a snooker cue.. and anyone here illegally or legally but paid a contribution (paid more tax than taken benefits ) for less than 5 years..

You can abide the law, yet disagree with different elements of it. It's not mutally exclusive.

i get that view, but challenging bad laws should be allowed?
also plenty of people have a lax view of some laws, speeding, paying cash to avoid tax!
also since the change in general license any one shooting feral pigeons using a lamp!!!
im in no way saying we should break the law but when the law clearly isnt working shouldnt we challenge it?

Exactly.
I've had a WhatsApp message today asking if I want to buy a nearly new gun cabinet cheap.
Turns out the ladies husband has racked up 12 points, he's being taken to court, and has had his guns taken... its his own fault, he was driving over the speed limit.

'We're doing badly so let's just give up'

Nope. I am sick to the back teeth of the smell of weed from next door. In summer we often can't have our windows open because if it, being outside in nice weather is often tainted by the smell and occasionally it seems to come through the walls. Then there are the times, usually at least weekly, when I'm driving (+/- kids in the car) and some wazzock or other, often in a van is smoking and driving because it comes in through the vents. The last thing is want is those people and others being emboldened to do it more- it's antisocial and a risk to others. And that's just weed. There needs to be a culture change and it be cracked down on more.
It seems an acceptable part of society now, drug driving. In my eyes their the same as drink drivers, impaired & a accident waiting to happen.
