any info about fox pro callers

Getting not much luck with foxes this year ,just had my 7th wait, only had 1 dog fox on my first wait after only half an hour in early January, and 6 waits after that and saw none at all. Then tonight went back to a usual good place and saw 8 or 9 foxes, a badger a heron and a barn owl, Lapwings were calling nearby all the time, I sat from about 7:30 till midnight, my thermal spotter battery finally kept going off with being flat and one did come to to bait about midnight, it grabbed a dead crow and was off with it, couldnt follow it so easy as the spotter had stopped, did see it through Pard007 and had a rather awkward shot at about 95 yards, thought id got it, then went with torch as thermal finally really flat and saw a divot in the ground which had sounded like a hit strike and the dead crow which it had dropped.
Kept thinking whilst waiting and seeing foxes hundreds of yards away if id a fox pro set out it might have drawn some in, .
Anyone reccomend any, I see they can be on ebay for about £190. Last year I did really well waiting and had exactly 20 foxes between early January and end of March with 21 shots 19 coming to bait and one near my house sat on a wall after id been outwaiting. Dont think ill get anywhere near that this year.

Calling is a dark art. Sometimes they will pile in other times they can turn round and run a mile.
I’ve found the most consistent time to call is when there pairing up.
I had a fox pro, very happy with it, moved it on as the remote was playing up. My cousin has an icotec just as good,

You will catch up with them eventually. Bait station near good shooting spots work best for pulling in. Callers are defo hit and miss. I like it not knowing im there to give me a better chance to get round em if needed. I use mouth calls to squeak

As above, calling sometimes works and sometimes they don't even look up.

Vary calls depending on time of year.

I have shot lots coming in to the call and just as many, if not more walking the ground, knowing the likely fox routes etc I'm too impatient to sit and wait for hours on end

Buy one you wont regret it. It will increase your tally greatly. As with all calling it isn't guaranteed but it does work a lot of the time.

Best money I ever spent and has accounted for hundreds of foxes.

Thanks, im getting a bit tired of 4 hour waits for not a lot. I did well last year but put a lot of nights in. Which model have you got, any reccomends.

Mine is the old wildfire but Im sure the current ones will suffice.

I often have a fox shot within a few minutes of calling ...it means you can cover a lot of ground in a night doing stand after stand.

Get one and I guarantee you will shoot more foxes.

I’ll second that. Bait stations regularly topped up are the dogs genitalia. If you don’t have access to offal or a friendly fishmonger dog food in the form of the cheapest nuts you can buy will do the job. Use a trail camera to establish the routine to save yourself wasted time.

Enjoy it , you will get results.

Don't be afraid to change calls regularly if nothing has showed , there's no rule book.

Are the callers able to be left out when its raining, or probably need to cover it with whatever, some nights im sitting in the vehicle or field shelter and it can come on heavy rain, its an extra to bait stations, I have often seen foxes 2 fields away just passing through, they are the ones that might be tempted to come down for a look, ??

I've had callers work and not . I suggest fed up of carrying them and prefer to make my own racket but sometimes I give it a go and get a pleasant surprise.

They usually have the ip water rating on them i think. IMO the real beauty of electro caller is being able to have fox attention away from your direction

Strange foxes in Notts or you are not out enough.

They are brilliant, nearly every fox we shoot is called in.

I cannot stress enough how invaluable they are.

Personally I wouldn't leave it out in the rain.

Little tip , if its raining put inside a carrier bag , still works and keeps it dry
