Wanted: 172 bergers

Hi all after some 17 cal bergers 25 grain varmint it think there called mef if anybody has any lurking on a shelf scott

Is that just the match and not varmint if so how do you find them on fox ?

hi yes the match, i find them fantastic on fox, i tried the varmint ones and they didnt perform as well as the match, in accuracy and performance on fox ,dont get me wrong, im not knocking the varmint ones, but for me the match have performed better for me at the fps i get, i read somewhere years ago, some bullets work better at differant speeds, so if your happy with what the varmint bergers are doing crack on, i also use 52 gr berger match on my 223rem on fox, so to sum it up i get better results with my match versus the varmint ones, so good luck i think both are ok atb bs.

Hi Scottb 123. Berger no longer make the .172 cal 25g MEF and haven’t for a number of years. I hand swage my own .172 bullets heads (dare I call them that) I make a pretty exact copy of the 25g MEF, pm me your address and I will send you a dozen to compare against the 25g match. I also make a 25g match bullet, of the two I prefer the match type.
