I enjoyed Carl's input, shame he's still not here.
One day I hope I'll be in a position to take him up on his offer to drop by for a cuppa and a warthog.I’m meeting up with him in a couple of weeks
zactlySorry to be a prune, but how is that an excellent visual comparison?
Could have sworn that something times the same something equaled a square.
Have I missed Trump changing the look of squares as part of his world domination?![]()

I have a free field measuring app on my phone. It's very handy. I can walk around the perimeter of a bit of land, and it will tell me the area in acres or hectares.
It can also be used for distance measuring, for example when setting out targets at 100m, 150m, 200m etc.
Can also measure distances on screen, so for example if you're sitting in a highseat you can use it to range key landscape features (such as the edge of a wood, or a prominent tree, or an angle in a fenceline) which is all handy knowledge to have when a deer pops out in front.

Ps. We used to learn tables by repeating parrot fashion in school. Never forget them that way.

I had a non computer age neighbour that thought one of his paddocks was 20 acres and would do for an experimental crop. I told him " its 30 acres you know" Next I was asked 'can ye tell me how much land is in the blah blah paddock (s) and how long are my boundary fences. I use to calculate distance of a to b to c in the bush.
