Although Steve Wright was, to say the least, a bit "Marmite", Scott Mills who took over the 2pm slot was just crap IMHO. Come 2pm if I were driving off it was always something else other than Scott Mills and I am very happy that the 2pm slot is now for the present Trevor Nelson. So good riddance say I.

Must admit I'm probably 1 off a small few on here but im a bit gutted.
I've listened to Mills for 30 odd year,s.
Pretty much always been a favourite.

I've found him to be pretty hilarious at times esp in his R1 days.
He's always came across as a pretty decent humble type of bloke, unlike many ' celebrities

I can mind doing all nighters at uni writing essays and listening to him at 4am, used to come on before moyles in those days..

Him and big vern are the only 2 folk I can stand on R2 now and wknds are terrible both days all day..
Makes it a long day stuck on a machine or saw when that's usually 1 off the very few channels u can get.

Never liked him myself. But last I checked, part of being British was the concept of 'innocent until proven guilty'. That applies as much to those we dislike as those we like- if not more so to the former.

Must admit I've never actually heard wot he is accused off.

He was the crowd of Djs I grew up with Moyles, Evens, Ball, jo while etc.
I listen to the radio a lot always on in the background.

Some always came across as ****s.
But to me he always came across as a decent grounded guy

So I must admit I am very surprised by the allegations.
It does make u wonder if the allegations are 10+ yrs old u wonder how much evidence their is.

We do seem to be in an age of trial by media, or even social media.
Which is really not far off the old lynching squads when they get their teeth into something.
But quite often the wrong end of the stick

Absolutely this!!!!! If it wasn't for John Peel we would still be listening to the Birdy Song, or Mary Hopkins. Saw him signing autographs on women's breasts at a punk gig.
