For Sale: STOLEN- "too hot to handle"

It is despicable that this has happened I have been on stands at shows with guns that have been locked up at night so no loses but I can only think that the stand contents was not locked so should be covered by the show organizers insurance.

Do they highlight this on the stand sale conditions for the show?

I wish you the best of luck on the return of your list of loses and prosecution of the theives.

Unfortunately these fairs, local game and country fairs are a magnet for certain demographics (some libs will get wound up if I refer to their actual terms), I haven’t been for a number of years but the last time I went to the East Anglian it was plagued by them, openly stealing, especially knives and baiting the police who just shrugged and laughed… Awful for OP but when you look at the gate receipts and stand costs the organisers should do better..

For petty daytime pilferring, maybe.
But this appears to be a lot of stuff gone in one heist, at night. Which would have required the thief to have a vehicle in the traders parking area. At a time of day when the general public are excluded from the site.

Yes 8pm is the relevant time......

Who was on site after the show shut?
come on guys stop being petty bigots, im sure people wont like this but casual rasicm should not be tollerated.
Spoke to my mate who was on simpsons stand, he had heard nothing about this.
Hope the theives are caught and dealt with harshly, also name and shame them

Not nice to think that it’s someone from the show or employee of the show
Surely the general public had no access at that time of night
Not easy to put a trailer and all that gear up your pullover and walk out
Then walk off down the road with it
Trailer isn’t a road trailer and only atv wheels

Sweet fk unbelievable some rotten bstds doing this to a hard working man, I sincerely hope they catch them and items recovered, gut wrenching to find some scumbags have looted your property.

There were LOTS of people still around at 8pm with some trade stands restocking ready for the Sunday. The show held a gathering at the main stage / bar area for some awards and thanks to be handed out. I was on another trade and we were still in the building at gone 8pm. There was an awful lot of expensive not locked away throughout the halls.

Some RFD's sleep on a camp bed on their stand

I know that at some of the carp fishing shows, a few of the lads spend the night on the stands, a takeaway and a couple of beers, then kip on one of the bedchairs, it's a long old weekend for them chaps.
Fingers crossed the thieves get caught and punished.... but statistics would indicate otherwise.

I would like to see some stills shown if they are caught on CCTV, we members can reach far and wide to help identify. It would be great to have them caught, its would be a great deterrent to any other would be scum.

Maybe reach out to the organisers and ask them to put a plea for information out on their socials. Like I said, there was a big gathering in and around the BASC stage on the Saturday evening of exhibitors. Maybe someone saw something but at the time it didn’t set any alarm bells off

Good comment grand slam
If they took them as though they should be moving them then why would anyone be suspicious
They need to ask all the people who had a stand there

Such a shame to read this @Stirlinggundogs I hope you recover your kit. I myself had a stand at the show and kept saying to my team to keep an eye on everything all the time. We live in a world full of opportunists and unfortunately they are in all walks of life. We cleared our stall every night and locked it away. I know for some trader that is not practical.

UPDATE:
First and foremost a huge THANK YOU to the members of the SD who helped with in some cases very small pieces of information, but that together completed this theft jigsaw puzzle....
Without the SD members helping I do not believe the offenders would have been identified, traced and located!!! So big thank you.

The update is that the Deer Sector is a small very well connected community and as a result I have identified, traced and located the 3 offenders and recovered all the stolen equipment which is great. Worthy of note is that they are all currently FAC holders.......despite a lot of requests I will not be naming and shaming on here.
At 20.30hrs they wheeled the JS1Trailer(r) containing all the equipment out of the main hall via the main show entrance, to their van and away. They state that the security staff had to hold the doors open for them as they could not get the JS1Trailer(r) through one door.
What I have not been able to find out is who was their 'sponsor', who enabled them to still in the Main Hall 3.5 hours after the show had closed.
Staffordshire Police are continuing to pursue their enquiries.
The key for me is the help from the SD members in getting my equipment back and tracing the offenders. Thank you again everyone, even if all you did was add an empathetic angry emoji to the thread!!
Stay safe and secure.... they walk amongst us.
Good hunting everyone!
Barry
