I've never been cold or wet wearing it. On a mild day beating it can get a bit warm but not so much it bothers me and I just undo it if I warm up.
The lower patch pockets are good for cartridges and there is another pocket behind them too accessed from the rear side. The hand warmer type pockets are in just the right place and there is a smaller zip pocket at the upper left chest ideal for a mobile phone. On the lower rear there is a pocket that goes right across the back of the jacket over your backside which can be used as a game pocket or more practically you can add some padding of your choice and it keeps the backside warm if sitting in a high seat for example.
The inside has quilted lining and there are two pockets one with a zip and there's a draw cord around the middle to tighten it up a bit if desired.
It really is an excellent value jacket that won't break the bank and can be used in all manner of shooting applications. Warm, comfortable and quiet.
I actually wore it around Berlin the day after I bought it because when I was there a couple of years ago we had a wind chill of -20 with a blizzard and I wanted something warmer. I am definitely getting another as a spare.
Here's a pic of me wearing it shooting last season.
