1 in 9" 22/250 best bullets

With that kind of accuracy you don’t need more velocity. When you find an accuracy node that allows you to shoot the head off a crow at 200m, stick with it. If I got what amounts to one hole accuracy at 3000fps with a 69gr .224 bullet, I most certainly would not switch powder in order to chase what amounts to probably less than 10% in fps terms. Work out your dope with drop tests at 50m intervals, and then back validate your velocity - it may well be higher than you think.

I shoot with a couple of sh!t hot varminters here, both of whom use their own wildcats, and both of whom will scold those who chase velocity over accuracy. High BC varmint bullets and low ES reloading is what its all about, the highest possible velocity is meaningless if you can’t shoot bunnies at 400m. That 0.25” is precious.

Ok thanks for your input, I probably will stick with them. I went out for a quick outing between the rain and set up a sheep lick bucket (empty) and shot at 330 yards and got 3 shots into 1.5 inches and then put up a palm sized brick half on top of the bucket and shot it off first shot at 330 yards. Not a huge distance but the drops matched my Strelok settings and I shot using mil dot aim off. It was 1.3 mil low. Keen to push the distance further and practice more.

A couple of weeks ago we were out long range plinking on a 12" gong at 616 yds and the 69 TMK were just fab, I expect were within 4". Trouble is the Mag on my Leupold is not really high enough. Anyway we also had 2, 1 litre plastic bottle full of water at about 625 yds. First shot missed by a gnats whisker second bid the buisness. The 69's are just excellent and will deal with any varmit and I expect would be very good on Roe up north.
