Like the novel drag rope .

Thanks, I made it out of odds and ends I already had lying around: a piece of antler for a nice grippy strong handle (space for both hands), a length of 3 or 4mm steel rope, a stainless steel butcher's hook that inserts up through the jaw, and a few other connecting bits. This one won't break!

Nice. Your Sako looks in great condition. It looks like an action IV to me but wondered what calibre it is?

Thanks. You're dead right mate it's a 6.5x55. I got it second hand from a dealer about 4 years ago. It had seen a fair bit of use judging by the highly polished bolt handle, but the barrel is still in good nick and the rifle is very, very accurate. I have a 75 Hunter in .223 too. I love everything about 75s, wouldn't want any other CFs.

Very nice SakoHunter. I have a Deluxe 75 which I found new in box about 3 years ago and also a stainless like yours but both are in .25-06. Yes great rifles.
