Thanks, I made it out of odds and ends I already had lying around: a piece of antler for a nice grippy strong handle (space for both hands), a length of 3 or 4mm steel rope, a stainless steel butcher's hook that inserts up through the jaw, and a few other connecting bits. This one won't break!
Thanks. You're dead right mate it's a 6.5x55. I got it second hand from a dealer about 4 years ago. It had seen a fair bit of use judging by the highly polished bolt handle, but the barrel is still in good nick and the rifle is very, very accurate. I have a 75 Hunter in .223 too. I love everything about 75s, wouldn't want any other CFs.
Very nice SakoHunter. I have a Deluxe 75 which I found new in box about 3 years ago and also a stainless like yours but both are in .25-06. Yes great rifles.
