doe culled today with triple foetus
not very pleasant, I try to shoot mature does before christmass and then y/o in new year...
 
It would be interesting to know what the sexes of the embryos were. I was told by an old and experienced stalker in Scotland that deer will 'self regulate' the sex of their embryos - too many deer on the ground and you get more male embryo's otherwise 50/50. How true this is I don't know.

Hi Mike, that is true and correct for deer here in the UK. If you cull more males then it's likely that over the next years you will get more males as a result. Nature does indeed self regulate/balances itself in that respect. Would also be interested in what sexes the embryos are.

But not when taking the ones that haven’t got young ones round them,
Well I have small bit of farm-land and shooting only a few roe a year, so it seems like I know them all🤔🤔
This season haven’t shot any does.
