  1. 50gr .22LR cartridges

That's not bad at all for a .22lr at 60 yards. - it's so easy to just pick out a good group with a "my .22lr shoots inch groups at 100yds" comment. In reality I think your 1 1/2" is much more the norm, when all shots and all groups are measured. Also, when comparing groups it's always nice to...
  2. 50gr .22LR cartridges

These are just 25 yards, shot at my local range.
  3. 50gr .22LR cartridges

From a 25 yard zero (Using Tenex,1085 fps, BC .150) for 200 yards you need to come up 23moa (6.2" at 25yds) for 300 yds you need 44moa (11.5" at 25 yards) I found my calculations were 3moa out at 300 yards, about 9" low. Either the velocity or BC needed a bit of tweaking - However, anywhere on...
  4. 50gr .22LR cartridges

Maybe not quite so much in the long range match unless it's still conditions - However, on a windless day, then what ever shoots best in your rifle - also depends on the lot or batch of ammunition you have. Some lots of Eley Match shoot better shoot than some lots of Tenex. Over the last 6-9...
  5. 50gr .22LR cartridges

I used my old Mk5 BSA Martini International, worth about £100, fitted with a £160 Fox scope and Tenex ammo - True, some of the chaps had rather upmarket gear but a good few of the top scores were with old match rifles My shooting partner, a member of the F-Class national team, was using a...
  6. 50gr .22LR cartridges

I shot the long range .22lr match at Bisley this year, 200 and 300 yards. Although I have, in the past, played at extreme range plinking - out over dusty field and such, where you can walk your shots in, this was the first time for me in a proper competition. ( I regularly shoot long range...
  7. Youtube bans reloading videos

In my case, several have been demoneytized and a couple have been deemed not suitable for most advertisers. I've asked for manual reviews but not really got anywhere. During a previous "anti anything shooting" purge my earnings from adverts dropped from around $90 a month to around£10 a month...
  8. What rail for 1000?

Your scope has around 65moa total elevation adjustment - Depending on barrel length, velocity, bullet weight and all the other variables you will need around 30 moa to go from 100 to 1000yds, so in theory you might just do it without an angled rail, however, adding a 20moa rail will get you...
  9. older greener 12g single

I have a nice Greener GP dating from 1963 - Greener sold out to Webley in 1964 and Webley continued to make the GP until around 1980 with a few minor changes. I believe on the Webley made GP's the action cross pins are retained by external circlips and usually considered no so desirable.. I also...
  10. RCBS Scales

I have a brand new Dillon Eliminator in unopened box available. These are exactly the same as the RCBS 505 but with a blue different shaped body. Same as this set here:
  11. Advice: Which scales?

I'm a confirmed beam scale fan but for weighing bullets, or in you case .22lr rounds, most of these small digital scales will do the job well. This one looks good for the price with the advantage that you can use the stable output voltage through the USB cable...
  12. Sako P94S .22

I love my P94S - it won the Kent sporting rifle benchrest comp last year. I don't know what you're thinking of paying for the Finnfire you have spotted but there is an "as new" one in it's box for not much money being offered on the UKV site.
  13. Who else drops their bolt?

    PM sent.
  14. Who else drops their bolt?

    I've 3d printed a de-cocker for my Sako Finnfire S94.
  15. Air rifle for 7 year olds.....

I'll second that... We bought an HW30s for my grandson when he was about 10. It's not the cheapest but a really superb little rifle, very accurate, excellent trigger and not so small that they will grow out of in in five minutes. Yes, quite commonly used for bell target shooting by grown-ups too...
