The V4 range is definitely made in Japan which is fantastic for a scope at this price. Previous Conquest DL/ Duralyt etc lines were made in Germany or parts shipped from Germany and assembled in USA.

Check out the Tikka CTR (semi heavy barrel) May cover you for both stalking and target work. think they do it in .308, 6.5 creedmoor, .260 !

I know of a gun smith who has used plasticote stone effect spray paints to good effect on tired rimmy stocks, leaves a textured grippy finish. Not my cuppa tea but seems to work great for the little cost.
