  7. ‘Middle Ground’ Culling Calibre

If you want to shoot factory I don’t think you can better a .243 with a fast twist barrel for culling and roe. Suspect the reason your getting runners is the bullets not the calibre but your experienced enough to know that. No point getting another .30, not keen on a 6.5, .270 will be very...

  9. If you a fan of fingerless gloves.

-4 here later this week, -22 where I’m headed next week, think I’ll stick to gloves with fingers 😆 these look worse than useless for quad work. Can almost feel the nails aching 😵
  10. .243 Winchester ammunition for fallow deer (best factory choice)

Okay, I’ll be all woke and reccomend the factory hornady copper. 😂 80grn outfitter it’s called. Only better bullet I’ve shot in .243 is a nosler 85grn partition. Shot about 40 fallow with it in the last two years, about the same roe. Always had good expansion, always exited. Ranges from 30-250...
  11. Bloody boots !!

Don’t bother with brandecosse. Fair play I tend to do about 15,000 steps a day, but these have only lasted a year and they’re ****ed. Brandecosse don’t want to know and said it looks like I’ve “walked them out” . Quite what else your expected to do with a pair of boots I don’t know.

  14. 243 or 223

Foxing and deer shooting here with hornady 80grn all copper. Comes in at under £2.50 a bullet. Cheap fox. Say your .223 costs £1.50 a bullet, your still going to have to shoot the best part of 2000 foxes to be any better off. Also, this lead ban will be the start of somthing not the end. The...
