Id have to say .270 or 30-06 for your first deer rifle there both flat shooters and they both hit hard

They are designed as a target bullet thus making them a target bullet not a bullet to shoot at game or vermin and if you do ahoot game or vermin with these your breaking the law and can be convicted of this and get a big fine aswell. so dont do it.

243 will kill everything in this country but you have to be confident with your shot placement, because of there tiny bullets against the 308 bullets. 243 is faster than the 308 there as good as each other as they both do the job its your choice wich you pick we can only advise. Regards james

its a 300 wsm necked down to 7mm giving it a longer neck than the standard 7mmwsm and its called a 7mm boo boo

Yes ytene is a really good calibre but alot of ppl carnt hack the recoil and say its to harsh, its not harsh ita only lie ahooting a stoked up 270 or 30-06.
