I called to see my old head keeper yesterday “come and have a look at this “ .Into the wood not 50 yard from his cottage a Buzzard plucking point containing Tawny owl feathers.

No I walked around the end of the estate sawmill and it was there only about 15 ‘ away.

We see very few sparrowhaw’s now and people say buzzards take them off the nest.I have never seen it .I have seen a sparrowhawk eating/ plucking another sparrowhawk though.

All birds of prey are a disaster for British wildlife .On springwatch even the Kestrel was bringing in blackbirds.The marsh harrier cleaned up the leverets just for fun and the buzzard was very catholic with its diet.Our wildlife was most plentiful and healthy when badgers ,birds of prey and...

Partridges will need to be on pellets much longer than 5/6weeks probably double that depending on the weather.The other thing is vermin (Fox and Feathered ) are a no no for partridges.Good luck I hope it works out.
