The top needs to expand as a whole, not individual boards.
That's why buttons are used or cleats into a groove in the rails/frame.
Another way is to use metal angle brackets with slots to allow movement.
The clocks are iffy and mine were a year ago.
They sometimes take hours to send photos through and photo on demand fails to work.
Still better than Hik m15 though.
I don't know WTF I was talking about. The old fence is 10ft bays:rolleyes: 6ft feather edge on three arris rails.
I really do worry myself about myself sometimes.
The old fence is 8x15ft bays of 6ft6" high 4x4" softwood. Some have rotted now after 37 years and the closeboard panels were second hand then. I can erect the new fence and increase total length to 19x 6ft bays 6ft 6" high.
I will cut old posts at ground level after new fence completed.
