  1. Driven Hunt for Deer

Love the sound of the bell miners in the forest, looks a great experience.
  2. At Last a Few Duck.........

Good shooting and sport. Been abroad an entire season so can't explain how much I've missed it! Good work and good luck for the rest of the season.
  3. Forgetful game shooting

When it comes to game shooting with birds that have been reared for shooting, I believe that it's each to their own really. But in my case, with wildfowling, it's nice to get a good bag of a dozen to 15 birds. This rarely happens, so is easy to remember. But I wouldn't dream of doing this week...

  8. Tomatin, places of interest

Not far from the Findhorn Valley, a lovely scenic drive that runs to a dead end, but there are walks at the end. Lots of wildlife: mountain hares, golden eagles, peregrines etc. Always visit if up that way so may be worth your while.
  9. Australia - any info or experiences about shooting down under?

I will be travelling to Australia at the end of the month to start working for a year. Haven't got a job lined up but I may get lucky! I was wondering if anybody on here has any knowledge, experiences, or contacts about shooting over there. I've been travelling for 6 months now and it is safe to...
  10. Jack pyke clothing

I picked my Jack pyke coat up for £50 at a game fare 4 years ago. I think its quality for the money, use it inland duck flighting, rough shooting, stalking on the hill when ive been and other stalking. I have the oak pattern and blends in nicely. If you want a coat that will be completely...
  11. First roe and muntjac, plus over firsts.

Was a very young buck, no tusks, and only small stumps where antlers will be. Thanks all.
  12. First roe and muntjac, plus over firsts.

Been meaning to do this for a while; to post about the Stalking scheme BASC does at the King's Forest, Thetford. Having been stalking various times with my grandad as he shot, and only having taken one red stag previously in Scotland for my 18th birthday a few years back, I consider myself a...
  13. Pine marten ?

    Get that to the taxidermist!!
  14. larsen trap drinker

We just pour water in from the outside of the cage. Clean it out every now and then if it gets too green. You have to check them every day anyway so may as well not have anything complicated on it. Especially if the trap ever gets vandalised (antis damaged ours once and released the call bird!)...
