I’m looking to purchase a second hand pair of the older style (i.e without the tracking assistant feature) Swarovski 8x42 EL Range binoculars.

Couldn't recommend the BDS course highly enough, not just a course to get you through the test, more of rounded learning experience. Well worth the money, and good fun to boot
Having not had a look on the SD for a long while PM, it was a treat to read this. Scotland looks fantastic. I also think your "deer motorway" would make a lovely large scale print!

I have had my Minox 8x42BR binoculars for a few years now and can't fault them. Great value for money, very clear glass and pretty rugged. A friend reccomended them to me and I have to say they are spot on!
Think I paid £130 or so for mine, they have taken a beating and for the price...

Feel free to Google the farm I worked on (Arden Farms in Lincolnshire) but I am certain that the end market was Waitrose. I could be wrong about the regional thing but that was what I was lead to believe. How long have you been on the search for land for?

I have one on my .243, absolutely love it. Only difference between the German made S&B is the price in my opinion! Good fixed power scope, did the job for me even out in South Africa. If you get one you won't be disappointed
