  2. Wanted: Swarovski 8x42 EL Range (Non TA)

Hi all I’m looking to purchase a second hand pair of the older style (i.e without the tracking assistant feature) Swarovski 8x42 EL Range binoculars. I appreciate this might be a long shot - and I seem to have missed quite a few chances earlier in 2024! - but if anyone is thinking of...

  7. Dsc1-1 Recommendation in Norfolk

Couldn't recommend the BDS course highly enough, not just a course to get you through the test, more of rounded learning experience. Well worth the money, and good fun to boot
  8. Lessons from first attempt at a stag in the Highlands.

Having not had a look on the SD for a long while PM, it was a treat to read this. Scotland looks fantastic. I also think your "deer motorway" would make a lovely large scale print!
  9. Minox Binoculars Opinions

Hi there, I have had my Minox 8x42BR binoculars for a few years now and can't fault them. Great value for money, very clear glass and pretty rugged. A friend reccomended them to me and I have to say they are spot on! Think I paid £130 or so for mine, they have taken a beating and for the price...
  10. Waitrose & Venison

Paul, Feel free to Google the farm I worked on (Arden Farms in Lincolnshire) but I am certain that the end market was Waitrose. I could be wrong about the regional thing but that was what I was lead to believe. How long have you been on the search for land for? Charles
  11. Waitrose & Venison

I worked on a farm a few years ago in Lincolnshire for a harvest season who had recently diversified into deer farming. Ironically Waitrose was the sole end market for all the venison. I could be wrong but I believe that the venison is farmed and sold regionally (I.e. this lot would have been...
  12. Schmidt & Bender Hungarian 8x56 Rifle Scope

I have one on my .243, absolutely love it. Only difference between the German made S&B is the price in my opinion! Good fixed power scope, did the job for me even out in South Africa. If you get one you won't be disappointed
  13. You don't expect to see an F1 car on your shooting ground!!!

Fantastic thread, this put a smile on my face! What a noise... Did he mention its value at all?? :D
  14. What's with all the names....?

Most of my real name etc but the numbers just rhyme nicely!
  15. Sound moderators

I have an ATEC MAXUM on my 243. Its very light, balances the rifle well and looks pretty good too (not a fan of the silvery titanium models available)
