  1. Sako 85 xs .222 - load development & COAL

Mine works perfectly with what the books recommend for oal, never felt the need to p!ss about getting near the lands. My 50g soft points have loads of room in the mag, feed perfectly and shoot small groups when load testing. Same goes for my 50gr Vmax load. 🤷‍♂️ cjs
  2. Ticks

I've had my 3-year-old Lab on Bravecto since a pup and had no problems, well apart from getting him to swallow it. Mentioned this to the vet last week, and he offered the Bravecto in injection form. Lasts a year. cjs
  3. The quest for the perfect 40gr 22 Hornet bullet

The Sierra 40 gr HP bullet and a case full of Lil Gun are very accurate in mine, but they're a tad hard, penciling through and ricocheting. I've had good results with H110 powder, too. My go-to bullet is the Nosler 40gr Varmageddon with the black tips, although the same bullet in hollow point is...

  9. Night time zeroing target

Aluminium tape, works well for me. Tilt the target board up slightly. 👍

Hey mate, ping your address, I’ve found some more 180gr 30 cal bullets if you can make use of them. cjs
  11. 222 Remington

My 75 likes Sako 50g gameheads and 50g Vmax. Very accurate cjs
  12. .222 reloading?

A chronograph would help. I can't advise on your choice of powder; I use N130 to get great results. cjs
  13. 204 Primer Choice Query

CCI 400 will work, might need to tweak your load slightly though. cjs
  14. 22-250 bullet for roe

If you don't reload, then the Sako 50/55grn Game heads or Norma 52gr soft points, if you can get them, are good on roe. Doesn't matter what bullet you use; you'll get some damage with the 22/250, even copper. Mine is my most used rifle by a long way. cjs
