  1. BAT actions Rathdrum, can any explain?

“Rathdrum” is pure Irish place name. Literally means fort on the hill. Piece of useless info for you.
  2. 30-30

    That’s the logical answer.
  3. 30-30

A Ruger No1 in 30/30 would be sweet if such a thing could be found.
  4. Sold: Lee Enfield No4 Mk2.

Is that an Irish Contract rifle?
  5. Sika deer Ireland. Zero.

Roughly 30mm high at 100 assuming moderate ballistics. You’ll be a couple of inches low at 200.
  6. Sold: Mannlicher 8x57 Stutzen

Lovely stock. Pity it’s not coming my way.
  7. For Sale: Sako 75 Action 3 .243

Would you sell the McMillan separately?
  8. Walther RS3 Rifle

The aborted love child of a Blaser and an SA80…. I want one 🤣
  9. First rifle: steer me away from .450 Bushmaster?

Can I suggest that for your first rifle, that you buy the most conventional and available rifle you can find? Bog standard Tikka in 308win or 6.5cm, or similar from any one of half a dozen other suppliers. You can be clever some other time.
  10. Best take down .243 rifle?

A K95 goes into a violin case very nicely.
  11. Last day of season, 1st roebuck taken on my land!

Now, that is a deer rifle 👍
  12. Bergara BA13 take down 16" in .270 - anyone tried it?

Can’t think of much more unsuitable for your application than a 270.
  13. Chamois and Mouflon hunting with a .270

A big sheep and a wee goat? In the mountains? Sounds like the 270’s job description.
  14. How to pronounce different cartridges

My da insists on calling the 308 the”thirty ought eight”.
  15. 22-250, goldilocks twist rate

You might be on to something there. A 10 twist should stabilise lead cored 70 gr bullets. Tikka built a batch of 10 twist 22/250’s a few years ago for the US market.
