  1. Federal fusion .270 130 grain

Use them in my tikka .270 and can’t fault them. Stopped using the power shock as was getting flyers and found these more acurate and were putting beast down on the spot. To be honest would still be using them if I could get hold of them more easily but have changed to Norma 130gr and having...

  3. Black Panther / big cat in Scotland

  4. Stamping of feet!

This kind of stamping on feet??
  5. Stalk - kill shot - Head - carcase

Does taste just the same and depending who you go with roe can be £80 per outing and venison at game dealers rates approx £30. So that’s £220 with 2 full deer to take home. With the added bonus that you don’t need to get up as early as it’ll be winter months. Ask around if your not happy with...
  6. lease holders and stupid rules

Easy solution ask the question before you pay your money. I don’t mind logging on but I would never join a syndicate I had to pre book wouldn’t trust it leaves to much room for fraud. to many members and never knowing who the lease holder has on the ground.unless it’s an open online system...
  7. not sure if this is a wind up

So they ban thermal for all syndicate members fine there rules, then the MD comes on SD and slags all syndicate members saying he has to go in and shoot problem deer himself and tells us how difficult the ground is to stalk.. surely if thermal was giving that much of an advantage then he...
  8. Making stalking more accessible

Stalking is avalible to everyone, just at a price. But I would rather that than not having a clue who’s on what ground. I don’t think roe does at approx £80 per outing is not that expensive.
  9. Vacancy: FCS Wildlife Ranger - Lowlands District

Finnbear most of the deer cull would be achieved during winter months and office type workload during summer months checking leases showing people around new leases carrying out firearms test. Also not all they do but just an example.
  10. DSC1 full training or assessment only

I enjoyed the course and getting to meet and hear other people's opinions and stories, but if you can't get the time off I see not harm in doing assessment only as you say just need to read up at home when you have the chance. Definetly recomend dstraining.org I found that helped a lot. David.
  11. fallow in hard antler

Yup the red stag peering at the side of the A9 this morning looking suicadal was still in velvet. Not a nice feeling trying to slow down but not frighten them at 3 in the morning. Seen some cracking fallow bucks as well at Perth but wasn't close enough to see velvet, didn't actually know fallow...
  12. Vacancy: Wildlife manager

Yes you really need those tickets. Only penalties would be if you had an accident insurance wouldn't cover you and your employer could be charged for not providing you with training. If worse case you died could even be charged with your death.
