  1. Radio 4 this afternoon Open Country

The very same one. Now in New Forest. Not sure if he’s on here- probably too busy shooting deer 😅
  2. The stalking show

My only go to show of the year, and probably a 7 hour round trip from the flat lands. Hopefully it doesn’t become diluted with tutt and corporate sponsorship but we’re revved up for Saturday
  3. PROPER A A A List visitor

Brilliant. I live/work in bittern central but it’s still a rare thrill to see one like this.
  4. 6.5x55 Swedish

I have a 6.5 Swede (Sauer) and love it. Have recently switched over to Sako Blade 120g and have been more than satisfied with the results, only issue is supply- apparently GMK are waiting on a shipment from Finland so nothing available in my area at the moment.
  5. Should the Youth get into deer stalking ???

From what point of view? The individual youth or for the good of the sport/profession? I think the answer to both is yes. There is a perception that the youth of today are lazy, glued to their phones and unable to communicate effectively in real life. From my limited experience this is partly...
  6. First teckel questions

Hi Jamie, Coat wise, I think by 5-6 weeks you can see which way they are going. Our recent litter had six who appeared quite smooth coated but by that point you could see longer guard hairs coming on their chests, ears and feet. These will be ‘standard’ wires and follow the dam. One of the...

  8. Hotel recommendations

Thanks all for your input- I’d rather get real recommendations than stars on a website. Will look at the options, staying further south does make sense too. Jon
  9. Hotel recommendations

Forgot to say- will be travelling with the rat pack, who stay in the truck, but will need to have a car park and ideally not town centre.
  10. Hotel recommendations

We have a week booked in a cottage near Pitlochry at the end of September. Would like to travel up a day early, any recommendations for nice hotel somewhere north of Stirling? Budget around £200-250 Thank you Jon
  11. Top quality leather work

I’m always in awe of people who can create wonderful things like this. The manual dexterity, patience and vision is something I always admire. I know practice makes perfect but some people just have a natural talent.

  13. Sold: Teckel puppies- KC registered both parents European imports

Price drop to £800 for the last two dog puppies
  14. Ford Ranger 3.2 diesel oil pump

I had mine done on a 2.2 at 100k. Cost about £650 with a service. There’s a group on Facebook called ‘Ford oil pump failure’ or similar; the admin guy Tony is very helpful and can put you in touch with a local garage.
  15. Sold: Teckel puppies- KC registered both parents European imports

Still 2 x dogs available from this bunch. Bold and confident puppies with their nose on the ground! In 30 years of occasional dog breeding I’ve never known so many time wasters and tyre kickers, some on here sadly. If you’re first question is ‘ what’s your best price’ then these aren’t the pups...
