  1. Wanted: Wild turkey shooting

Thx. Trying to steer clear of the US anyway. 😉
  2. Wanted: Wild turkey shooting

Hi there, does anyone on here have any experience with wild turkey hunting, such as Osceola in Florida? Any outfitters one could recommend? Thanks in advance!
  3. Wanted: Black bear hunt in Alberta - Canada

Going to Northern Alberta on June 1st. I’ll let you know how I get on. ☺️
  4. Sold: Swarovski Z6, Zeiss and Leupold VXIII Scopes

Good morning Andy. I believe they used to have a sticker on the box. Is this the more recent Victory Diavari series?
  5. Sold: Swarovski Z6, Zeiss and Leupold VXIII Scopes

Zeiss Diavari still for sale? Do you happen to know if this is the model with Lotutec lenses?
  6. Wanted: Sturdy long range scope for mountain hunts

Thanks for sharing your experience, much appreciated. I have a S&B Meta 3-18x42 coming my way to fit on the 6.5CM barrel that will hopefully be delivered one day. This will be my set-up for chamois, mouflon… As to my 300WM, I am considering the Exos 3-21x50 as the new BDC turret is identical to...
  7. Wanted: Sturdy long range scope for mountain hunts

Thanks for all your insights and recommendations, lads. No need to convince me about S&B anymore. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Steiner M7Xi series?
  8. Wanted: Sturdy long range scope for mountain hunts

To be honest, I had never heard of them. Manufactured in Japan, I read somewhere? Why do you find them so good?
  9. Wanted: Sturdy long range scope for mountain hunts

Hi Dave, typical of the UK market is the fact that so many people are in favour of S&B. Here on the continent it’s mostly Zeiss, Swarovski, a bit of Leica, some Meopta. I’m a big fan of S&B myself though and I quite fancy the Exos. However, I’m shooting Blaser R8. These rifles don’t have...
  10. Wanted: Sturdy long range scope for mountain hunts

Looking for a robustly built yet elegant long range scope to be used in places like Canada, Kyrgyzstan, Kazachstan etc… for distances up to 400m max. I’m a hunter, not a target shooter, so I’m not after Christmas tree reticles only people with a PhD in rocket science can understand. I currently...
  11. Calling all 9.3x62 owners

I hope this is a joke…😱 I’ve shot roedeer with my 9.3x62 during driven hunts but a muntjac would literally be flying in the air.
  12. Calling all 9.3x62 owners

Was asking myself the same question. I used to use my 9.3x62 during driven hunts, shooting Norma Oryx rounds with consistently good results on wild boar. It’s a slow stopping bullet for relatively short distances, so I personally don’t see the point in shooting an 180 grain round.
  13. For Sale: Vortex Razor HD 13-39x56 compact spotting scope - never used

Bought new but never used. As new condition. Extremely lightweight and compact, like a rifle scope. Compatible with Arca-Swiss adapters. £695 + shipping
  14. Carpathian chamois - looking for a reliable outfitter

After an appallingly poor experience with a Romanian outfitter whose name I won’t mention, I’m looking for a reliable outfitter or local hunting club to successfully stalk Carpathian chamois in the mountains (i.e. not in inaccessible forestry blocks on steep hillls). Anyone on this forum with...
  15. Wanted: Black bear hunt in Alberta - Canada

Awesome! Any luck? Yes, I’m still quite fit. I was stalking stags in the Carpathians 2 weeks ago. Lots of walking on steep mountain slopes…
