At the moment this looks like my best bet:

That @W1LL I have been through this site a couple of times. I was wondering if anyone had any specific advice/recommendations regarding models and manufacturers.
My faithful chiller (which used to belong to the late, great and much missed Alan Evans @Allantoo) has finally packed up.
I need to find another. I've been looking online at commercial fridges and drinks chillers until my eyes bleed. I've got a budget of £500. Ideally I would like to find...
This is the waterproofer I've been using. It's easy to apply. Clean the boot, wipe it down with a wet sponge, spray liberally, wipe off any excess after 10 mins (or don't...I can't see that this really matters) and allow to dry. Simples.... And appears to work
I would say that they are true to size. I'm a size 8 but always buy size 9 wellies. However, my Lows boots are size 8 - and still roomy enough for me to wear thick socks.
Significantly better. That said, I am making a meaningful effort to waterproof them with a Nikwax spray on solution (which looks suspiciously like ordinary PVA but seems to do the job). I think I have done this three times since September. I really like the locking eyes which flatten when you...

No it isn't - not in my opinion. Hilar produces an almost instant loss of consciousness - "bang flop". That's the appeal of this shot placement. You don't get the thrashing around seen in this video which is much more like the reaction I would expect from a high shoulder shot - which pins a deer...
The difference between POA for "high shoulder" and "hilar". In my experience the high shoulder will pin the deer and stop it running but the hilar will drop it with a more or less instant loss of consciousness.
Home Office guidance explicitly states that "experience" is neither quarry nor caliber specific. I think anybody who regards any one caliber as more or less dangerous than another runs the risk of appearing (or becoming) complacent. Similarly small game is no less deserving of a quick and...
