I do the RTA callouts round my way, technically speaking (unless its a motorway) the local authority should grant rights to allow you to discharge a firearm on the road for HD. Can't imagine in a million years any local authority or police force would actually take any action for someone...

I use STROBL for all my 8x57IR. Can't recommend them enough. The law on this is absolutely nuts. Can also get a firearm couriered to your door without RFD from the EU. DPD would have left my drilling at the local halfords or in my porch if I'd wanted!!

Used strobl.cz a few times with no problems.

Have also just slugged the barrel. It is marked 7.8mm - so would expect a .318. I am getting .320-.321 from my measurements. So - should I be sticking with .318? Inside of fired case mouth measures around .3195, so I'm guessing yes.

26.5" barrels. I'll have a play with loads around 44 and see what I can get from it. I will report back in time!

You are right Edi, but many have transposed to JR so you will see both. S&B brass is marked 8x57 JR .

Guess that explains it then!
