I do believe Rob Nixon is the chief constable, the PCC is Rupert Matthews. Might be worth politely letting them know as I don't think they would be aware, but I wouldn't hold your breathe for a snappy reply.
When I posted my letters I did both just to be sure. I also hand delivered my letter to the Chief Constable at the Enderby headquarters. Have you let the Chief constable know about your situation?
All went through okay, the force apologised for their incompetence.
Since then been on three outings with my own kit and passed my DSC1

Every time I have rang the firearms department the person that deals with applications has been on annual leave (unfortunate timing) so I am waiting until Wednesday for an update.
In the meantime I am drafting a letter to the constable just to let them know and put them in the picture, bringing...
I wrote to the firearms department but was told that post isn't accepted and would just be returned!? Needless to say I haven't received the post back.
It kind of feels like my application is being forgotten. I don't want to be ringing every week and be annoying but is that something I should be doing?
I just want to be able to progress in my deer stalking and apply for my dsc1 and book outings using my own rifle.
I sent in everything again via email.
Then I posted everything with recorded post, including the original medical proforma as I thought this would help them out. Probably a mistake on my behalf sending the original but I would have thought the police would keep my documents safe?
