Can you shoot sub sonic bullets and change to normal and back with out effecting accuracy? Thinking that if I'd some this morning I'd of done a fox with out scaring the deer. Any experience

Think I made a mistake. If you want to shoot into water to retrieve the bullet must the water be enclosed? Like in bottle or sealed tank. shot .243 Peregrine 80gr through 3 buckets of water at 100yds approimately 900mm. But the bullet passed through and out the back. If I used a 25ltr barrel end...
