  5. Muntjac with dependent follower

    If she's near cover probably best to shoot the fawn first. If you can't then get the doe you might pull her out with a buttolo. In the open. Doe, then fawn.
  6. What type of 30-06 round for Sika particularly? Apologies if this is a well done subject!

    All deer can run with a H/L shot. Sika are no tougher than anything else. The HIT ammo is perfectly adequate for Sika.
  7. 25-06 v 243

    Get a .30-06 instead. .25-06 is great but difficult to get ammo for, when you can it's expensive. .30-06 ammo is more available, cheaper and in a much greater range of weights etc. Plus, .270 is DEFRA's minimum recommended calibre for boar so with .30-06 you're okay for shooting pigs.
  8. does anyone know if this Roe Doe is healthy?

    @Buchan will know I reckon
  9. 410 ammunition

    Saga 3 inch.
  10. Shooting game in back garden - legal?

    Speak to them. You'd be surprised how far a haunch of venison goes. I have shot rabbits foxes and deer in much smaller gardens than 4 acres and in rows of houses. A busybody can complain about you shooting on a 1000+ acre estate. If what you are doing is safe and legal then what's the problem?

    There are already copper .22lr bullets available in the UK. CCI, Norma and RWS produce them.
