My wife has a Cooper Custom Classic in 250 Sav Ackley Improved which we reload for.
With 40 grains of Reloader 15 we are getting 3088 fps with a 100 grain Sierra Game King from a 22" barrel. It is a great cartridge and accuracy is amazing.
Fire forming the cases is very easy and they too were...
The Puma Hunter's Pal on the right I bought in 1976 when I was 16. I have used this knife on all the deer I have shot. Also while I was a shepherd I used it for killing and processing all the sheep for our house and my two bosses houses plus my dog tucker. It would amount to between 2000 and...
Are you sure that it is the 6.5 Grendel?
They now chamber the 6.5x47 Lapua in the Classic and the Victory.
They also chamber the 6x45 in the Legacy but I have seen no info on a Grendel chambering.
Out of curiosity I pulled my Ruger M77 220 Swift (tang safety) from the safe and the trigger breakes at a very consistent 2lb 7oz. It is all original but I did lighten the pull weight many years ago by adjusting the screw on the trigger.
Although I'm not the other side of the pond I do shoot a Ruger No1 in 257 Roberts.
My wife has a 250 Savage AI and between the two of us we also shoot three 25-06 rifles.
My wife and I own three Sauer 202s between us. Her rifle is chambered in 223 and my two are chambered in 22-250 and 25-06.
As @Tapio270 says they are a very smooth action and all three of ours are accurate.
It is a pity that Sauer didn't install a button that would allow the bolt to be opened...
Keith I am sorry to hear that you have had an issue with your Victory. Hopefully it will be all sorted promptly.
Would you care to tell us a little more about your Victory such as what grade wood it has and what chambering you went with please?
A photo would also be great.
Considering that between my wife and I we own three Schultz and Larsen Victory rifles, one Legacy and one Classic DL my view may be somewhat biased. We don't own a Mk V but I have played with a couple.
A couple of features that stand out with the S&L rifles are the ability to swap barrels and...
From memory Parkwest bought out Dakota Arms when Remington went belly up.
They make the D10 which is one of the nicest falling block single shot rifles available.
This is a very interesting theory but suggests that all 22 WMR, 22LR, 17 HMR and any other small capacity cartridge rifle barrel should suffer pitting.
My Weihrauch 22 Hornet does not have pitting in the bore nor does any of my 22LR rifles.
This may be attributed to the fact that I always...
Back in October 2025 I received a price for a new S&L 60 cm 6,5x55 barrel and it was NZ$1800 including 15% GST which equates to around £770. Considering the extra freight to NZ I would expect our price to be more than what you have to pay in England.
