  1. Introduction from Northern Ireland.

Hello sir, also from Northern Ireland and pretty new to the deer stalking world. Welcome to the site.
  2. New member intro from Australia

Ah a bit of everything then. I'm into IPSC myself and make an attempt of skeet haha.

Welcome and what competitions are you into?
  4. Shotgun Merge Debate

Being from across the water I've no direct dog in the fight so to speak. But still signed the petition because the way I see it an attack on legal firearms holders anywhere is an attack on all. Introducing a nonsensical move such as merging SGC's and FAC's would just open the floodgates for...

Just googled them, look to be a good job. Though now I've got that adapter I'm committed to the likes of a Fortmeier Bipod.

Reason it wouldn't sit flush on mine was because the adapter was too long and would hit against the inside of the stock. If I cut back the plastic square on the inside of the stock it would have fitted, but I felt better to cut up the adapter rather than the original stock.

In a way of an update, I installed the adaptor yesterday. It wouldn't sit flush without either cutting part of the adaptor off or cutting the inside of the stock up. Because I wanted it to be as flush as possible and didnt want to take chunks out of my Sako I had to cut off and grind down part...

Looking at the pictures of adaptor, I assumed it would be a barrel off job to install it. As it has a screw that I don't see how it could be screwed in without the barrel out of the way. Not that, that's an issue as once it is done it wont be coming out again haha.

Ah nice part of the world Donegal, but yes a bit further than just up the road lol. Thank you for the offer! Hopefully I'll have decided what bipod to get by the time the adaptor arrives haha.

They look good, I'm assuming those adaptors connect to the rifle the same way as the one I just bought. Slots into the space under the barrel? Hopefully it's an easy install.

The sunny city of Belfast 😂 What about yourself?
  12. Bi Pod advice

I just ordered one today. Now to go on the hunt for a bipod lol.
  13. Bi Pod advice

Is the versa pod mount you use for the bipod the same idea as the one I posted at the start of the thread? It's like £60, from proptics.eu. Think I might get it and then go on the hunt for a good bipod. From the advice of everyone here its a toss up between all that is mentioned lol. As I'm...

I have so much to learn when it comes to rifles! 😂 I did wonder why there was that rail on the bottom, when there was the slot below the barrel too. So you can have best of both worlds lol. However I guess picatinny rails have taken over everything nowadays.

This is the official bipod that I believe came with the Sako TRG-22, it clicks into the slot below the barrel on that chassis. Unfortunately one didn't come with mine haha. Thinking of trying to get the Versa adaptor that is in the link from my first post and then going for the likes of a...
