I use 140 grain Barnes ttsx in my 7mm 08 and they seem to work fine, not pushing them fast, around 2650 fps.

If you want a shoulder mount, I'd make sure you start skinning from behind the shoulder blades, separate the head at the atlas joint and give the lot to the taxidermist. Better to give him too much to work with, rather than too little. Bleed through the diaphragm as well.

@enfieldspares thank you. Cut one open, thin layer of cork then the shot, which was all corroded and fused together. Just been to my local rfd who is going to dispose of them.
