  1. Re-sizing problem

Fantastic advice! Thank you! I’ll get right on to making one of these - it’s amazing how many little tips aren’t in the ‘comprehensive’ manual aha
  2. Re-sizing problem

    Good advice! I’ll do that
  3. Re-sizing problem

Thank you. Any idea what causes it?
  4. Re-sizing problem

Thank you!! Typically, I thought I’d broken it the first time I touched it.
  5. Re-sizing problem

I am turning my hand at reloading for the first time and I decided I’d do 15 rounds, to hopefully find a ‘recipe’ that my rifle liked. I noticed that after sizing/de-priming there was a faint line on all of the cases, just above the head. Is this normal? If not, does anybody know the cause...
  6. Partridge under Bantams

If you've no luck this year, I’m happy to send you some of my bantam eggs for a late hatch. They’re a farmyard mix, but excellent at sitting and rearing. Likely ready to sit next year. Much like others have said, you can’t beat a bird rearing a bird, HOWEVER… if you go down the incubator...
  7. .223 Devastation

Totally agree. As I say, not a problem, just a point of curiosity. More of a ‘newbie trying to learn’ than anything! Aha
  8. .223 Devastation

That could potentially be the cause. I’ll try a little further back and see if anything changes. Thank you
  9. .223 Devastation

That would make sense, I’ll do some more research! I’d be interested to know how you get on with them. I’ll take a look at the Gameheads. I’ve always stuck with the V max, mainly because of their lack of exit! This is possibly something I’ve been a bit naive with and I should broaden my...
  10. .223 Devastation

I am shooting both fox and rabbit, yes. Rabbit have always been obliterated by the round, which I totally understand. The foxes have normally shown little entry wound, if I’ve even been able to find it, but sounded and felt like a bag of gravel inside. Totally what I’d expect from a small round...
  11. .223 Devastation

    A strong possibility!
  12. .223 Devastation

A quick one for the .223 shooters I’ve been using 55grn and 53grn Hornady V max rounds since I purchased my .223 As a general rule, they cause minimal external injury. I have purchased a new box of 55 and so far, every single one has caused HUGE injury around the entry site. I’m talking holes...
  13. A controversial topic?

A valuable input, and one I’m familiar with. Thank you.
  14. A controversial topic?

This made me chuckle, but very valid points too. Thank you
  15. A controversial topic?

Genuinely, I’m glad you’ve found and commented on this thread. I suppose I do live in a different world, or at least a changing one. I have another thread, a bit older now, asking those with experience to share it. Would honestly look forward to hearing what you have to share.
