I've put a post up in the training section but I'd like some advice specifically from vets and those who might get to use darting and live capture equipment more regularly so thought I'd post here.
I've just started working at a zoo that has several cat 1 species in its collection. I will be...
I've just started work at a zoo that has several cat 1 animals. I'll be joining the firearms and animal recapture team, and am looking at modernising the darting equipment and training.
Is there anyone here who is trained in live capture and can advise on the best training providers and what...
They are allowed to visit. That does not mean that we have to let them in. A polite "thanks, but I was just about to go to bed/get in the bath/have a tumble with the wife, please feel free to make an appointment to view my firearms security at a mutually convenient time" should see them on their...
Did you reply with "We regret to inform you that, due to your ineptitude and inability to do your jobs in a timely manner, I have incurred extra costs for the storage of my section 5 ammunition. Please see the attached invoice, to be paid within 21 days"

On a nationalist agenda appealing to the, let's say, lowest common denominator. Don't get me wrong, I love living in Scotland, but I don't like nationalism in any form. It's a novel experience for me to experience racism. An enlightening one too.
Anyone care to state the legislation that bans the use of NV/digital scopes within the allowed hours? As far as I can tell, there is no restriction on using any kind of sighting device for deer, as long as it is within the time limits.
Actually, they are only supposed to ask the doctor for factual information from the records, not opinion or any assessment of "fitness to hold an FAC" so that's exactly what they should receive. The doctor would be well within their rights to refuse to offer an opinion.
