Yes, but that’s why most people who buy venison in supermarkets and restaurants say it has a strong gamey taste, because it’s been hanging too long on a boat from the other side of the world! Importing Reds from far away lands does nothing to promote venison in the UK, quite the opposite.

I had an F Type Jag a few years ago and was very tempted to treat myself to MR64 JAG, my initials, the year I was born, and well obviously!

I had a group of industry people, including one who appears in this video, visit me at my larder this week for a chat and they were actually very keen to understand how they could enable the recreational stalker to shoot more deer. It was a very productive visit I thought.
