  1. Hilux early chassis fail: rust perforation after 7 years and just 44k miles of road use in U.K.

They’ve said it could be weeks until head office review the photos / videos of the chassis and report back.
  2. Hilux early chassis fail: rust perforation after 7 years and just 44k miles of road use in U.K.

I hadn’t had any notification of a recall, but having seen this thread last week and phoned my local dealer, my 63 plate Invincible is one that qualifies. Booked in next week. I had the chassis treated a couple of years ago, so it will be interesting to hear the outcome.
  3. Scopes for Novices

This mirrors what I was told some years ago. I’ve still got 6x42 and 8x56 for my .243 and .308. One of each for each rifle on QRW rings. All four together with the mounts cost less than £1000.
  4. Compact tractor

Another classic tractor owner here. The old girl has been working hard this week, topping the leys shown below that were harrowed in the spring.
  5. Annual booster cost

For those that think puppy vaccines are all their dogs need, I euthanised a lovely three year old Labrador last month. Confirmed leptospirosis case. Need not have happened if her vaccines had been kept up to date. I’m sure the likes of @Buchan has seen similar heartbreaking cases. Lepto is not...
  6. Things you have ordered online that you dont need and will never use but just always wanted 1 !

“Broadsword calling Danny Boy, Broadsword calling Danny Boy”.
  7. Deer Doomsday

Surely his incentive is his online venison business and his group of restaurants which major in serving venison, no?
  8. Not a Tikka...

I went for a Mauser M12 rather than get a third Tikka in the cabinet. No regrets at all.
  9. Hunting Statistics from Finland

    Having a little pause.
  10. Bloody grass seeds!!!

I reckon I’ve removed more this summer than the previous four to five years combined. Ears, feet, nose, the lot.
  11. Can anyone recommend a book on bowmaking?

Has he read Longbow, by Robert Hardy? I haven’t read it myself, but he was highly regarded as an archery expert as much as his acting accolades.
  12. 410 hushpower yes or no

Min Mine did this for the first time on Sunday. Just the once and there was a Swiss Army knife implement that fitted the bill, handily.
  13. The end of lead = the end of 22LR?

Does that mean a .410 cartridge that can be used in a Hushpower will be available i.e. fibre wad? Some had suggested the withdrawal of lead would leave the fully choked Hushpower obsolete.
  14. Return to zero scope mounts

Leupold QRW work just fine for me with the same setup.
