  1. Available: Somerset Roe

On the continent, your guide is responsible for estimating the cost to within +/- 10%, perhaps it's the same here?
  2. Z6i or Leica Magnus

Based on the after sales service, I would always choose Swarovski. I bought Leica once and had an issue, service was appalling at the London service centre and I vowed never again.
  3. 9.3x57 has landed

    very very nice
  4. FEO says it will be refused but to apply anyway

It will totally depend on the individual making the decision some people have more of a common sense approach than others. Hopefully you have an open ticket otherwise it's pretty pointless anyway. Go 30-378 Weatherby............. it's still only a .308 but, pushing a 200 grainer at 3200FPS...

  7. Which custom rifle for that big birthday would be your choice ?

PRS (Borden) Dane and co (Borden or Mausingfield) Mckillop rifles (BAT, Borden etc...) Any of these 3 guys will put together a magnificent custom rifle, I'd imagine there would be a longer wait for PRS. Paddy Dane and Neil have components on the shelf ready to go and have all the equipment in...
  8. Good old Met Police... Not

You probably don't want to hear this but, I have a great relationship with my FEO at met police. Always very accommodating and available over the telephone, he's been nothing but helpful. sorry to hear that isn't the case for you.

  10. New "Reveal XR" from seek thermal imaging - opinions

http://www.flir.co.uk/hunting-outdoor/display/?id=72845 Flir were showing these at IWA, pretty handy looking thing. RRP around £400 apparently. Certainly no substitute for the full monty unit but, handy for stalking applications.
  11. 6.5 X 47 Projectile & Powder

    +1 on RL15, I'm using 41.5 grains behind a 120. Extremely accurate
  12. Ivythorn Sporting

Great set up, unique in the gunshop world in my experience..... Certainly when it comes to rifles you would find it difficult to find better choice and quality of stock anywhere. Steve is a great guy and I hope he continues to do well.
  13. Lawrance precision Titanium rifle

Can someone define "titanium rifle"? I imagine this is a titanium action? Made by who? Is Simon Lawrence now manufacturing actions or are they produced by someone else? My 6.5x47 came with a Lawrence moderator, I've been happy with its performance.
