  1. Someone doesn't like wolves

Real numbers are way over 3. 500 stated in 22 by Ispra (public Institute for land). Cause they don't have crew for research on ground censiments has been done only in small portion (Alps) relying on data provided by Lipu WWFand 3 other ultra conservatives green groups. No hunters associations...
  2. Wanted: Larry Willis body sizing collet die

ADDENDUM: have seen on web same concept using un ER32 collar grip a chunk holder and a common vice. Stated as whorking
  3. Would you buy a second rifle of the same make and model as you already own, just a different calibre?

For shure, I have four barrel and two identical blaser stocks with mech. So I can swapp barrel between both. Just mind that in Italy you can have plenty of rifles as soon as they are registered as hunting weapons and the caliber too si in a hunting lists.
  4. Wanted: Larry Willis body sizing collet die

Ole discussion but always actual untill mag calibers will be on the ground. So just for adding my two cents cause soon or later any mag rifle will develop the nasty bulge on the web brass depending from chambers measure, brass maker and charge used. Being the Larry Willis as a heen tooth to find...
  5. Scope for a .270

Often swapp scopes between riflesand one that has always whorked for me is the Docter 2,5-10x48 FFP. No illumination but extremely clear glasses and a steady internal mech. It's a pity Docter is passed but you can find good offers in second hands market at a fine price. Is not a fashionable...
  6. Lead to copper

nope of course, is the scope aim line and the bullet pat that doesn't match when shooting so near. But (depending on caliber as and bullett speed) if you zero too near you mey need to re-zero up at 100mt
  7. Lead to copper

When swapping from lead to solids the common choise is for a lighter bullets. If this is apply to you at 50m the POI could still be lower than previous because the trajectory will reach the maximum hight later.
  8. NV scope and hand held thermal advice

To me scanning and shooting are different process and would never scan with something fixed on my rifle's barrel. As many stated here before thermal are absolutely game changers when stalking and they don't suffers from light glare as Nv. Plus are way faster in quarry spotting. Having on board...
  9. Best habrocks

my hunting pal just bought it and I have been charged for setting it as.... "expert" (that I am not at all). But having had the 25 and sold it for the 35 HQ I tried to make him aware of the low thermal sensor limitation before he ordered. The lust of the new promoted as "compact" version won...
  10. Tripod advice

This is what me and many others hunters are using with real good results. The combo is lighter than bog death but at least as stable and may be more. tripod saddle
  11. Recommended Gunsafes

My take on safes. Get one that has the opening-unlocking handle and mechanism separate from the key. If not soon or later the key under the effort of opening the door after unlocking will fail. For thiefs rely on a well guarded home: alarm, security, blinded doors and windows will help. Mind...
  12. Which UK airports allow the transit of firearms?

bore diameter, barrel length, caliber. seems they are trying to limit transit for all firearms except those for ranges competition. no hunting guns admitted. or I an wrong?
  13. lead ban, what calibre too chose?

HonestJones That's by far the best (and "Honest" ) answer I could ever expect & I totally agree. Mee too I got reed from all' my .308 rifles (well except a semi-auto browning bar sitting unused in the safe just for Tuscany boars driven hunt which do not apply anymore..) although is a caliber...
  14. Blaser R8 QD Studd

I just took off the barrel of on mine. there is one exact slot in the stock where ccn be fit a second swivel stud which come out perpendiculary at the barrel. The slot is funnel shaped as to drive correctly a drill point inside out direction. started first hole with a 2mm point and enlarged...
