Totally correct, the whole thing about DSC1 is you have to sit proper assessments, done by qualified Assessors, then qualified Internal Verifiers check the standards have been upheld.
The online option is a different way to undertake the learning element.

The BDS are running Deer Management Courses in Inverness (June, not yet confirmed) and another one in Petersfield in September, if enough interest we are quite happy to run at other locations.

If you want to gain DSC2 and you have a pre 2006 DSC1 certificate (Beige in colour), you still need to have "Large Game Meat Hygiene" (which is not trained hunter status), so this assessment can tick that box.
That said the form does need updating!
