Presumably these were within the 2 year warranty period? If outside of 2 years do customers in the UK customers have to pay for shipping to Germany when getting repairs?

It's a balancing act. I value the warranty but not at the expense of all else. I have read many contrasting Vortex reviews and now so confused that I've discounted them. That's true. It's not something I have generally done on forums. I have no experience in shooting anything other than air rifles but I am interested in the good topics discussed here about equipment for the field.
