Thanks all, great advice. After trying a few out (Mauser etc) am still stuck on the Tikka T3, ideally Hunter-if I can find the right one. Considered Varmints (as much easier to get hold of etc) but tough farmer as I like to think I am, there's still only 9ish stone of me (even after beers!) so...

Hi all, Am very new to stalking & rifles but have been clay/ game shooting (on & off thanks to kids!) for about ten years. Have so much to learn and have yet to brave my fac application, but look forward to hearing about other people's experiences/ expertise.
