Looking for some 90 or 100gr FMJ 6mm bullets, going to a range day on a military range next weekend. (20th) I have used Sierra 1535 for this but can't find any in shops. Anything going spare?

Great bullets in my 223, wish they did a 6mm.

Depends which Ruger No1 you have. I've had a No1V in 223 and in 6mmRem, both shot MOA, the 223 was especially good. I had a No1B in 223 and in 270, generally the best I had was just outside MOA but the rifles were very nice to carry.

Just shot my first roe buck using the Nielsen Jagt 75gr in my 243. Load was 41.5gr RL17 OAL 2.565", ladder test averaged 3083 fps. Shot at 175m prone, entry quite large inside as hit a rib, 4 obvious but neat exit holes, looks like one fragment went through heart, buck kicked out and dropped...

That's a good idea, I got spare lens covers free from Minox when mine fell apart.

I had a Baikal a few years ago and the open choke was missing. At the time York Guns was the main Baikal dealer and they got me a couple quite cheaply.

I see a lot more hares now than I've seen for years. Can't think of any reason why they wouldn't benefit from a closed season though.
