  1. Hikmicro Alpex 4K LRF A50 EL

I use one of these on my Alpex, it works a treat
  2. THE BOW HUNTER

I remember as a boy seeing B&W films with someone called Howard the Archer. he did a lot of leaping about on rocks in rivers and shot a lot of fish!
  3. Substantial, huh?

A friend has a sophisticated alarm system, and I'm a key holder. The alarm was triggered a year or so ago, and it took over half an hour for the police to find the house, by which time I'd already visited it. Alarm systems have proved to be a total waste of time here in the country.
  4. Pine Marten - and other predator releases

At least she'll never get into a bird box!
  5. Webley & Scott 700 opinions

I had a 700. I always thought it was a very nice gun to use, and never had a problem with it.
  6. Thinking of ditching my 17HMR

I've always used Hornady, and have shot thousands, had a couple of glitches in the past, but none for a very long time.
  7. Your first fox 🦊

Mine was at age 11 with a 22LR (things were different back then)!
  8. 204 dying off ?

I usually shoot 40 grn Varmint Express in my Mike Norris built 204, but I'm about to switch to 32grn for fox, simply because I have some. I was interested to see that you have used 50 Bergers. How did you find them overall, and what load did you use? Cheers.
  9. Weirdest find whilst out foxing?

Again, continuing the "courting" couples theme. Over the many years I've been night shooting in this part of Devon, there have been many incidents of couples of varying gender mixes caught in the act. However, the one that I remember very vividly was when we were lamping in a very remote area on...
  10. Weirdest find whilst out foxing?

I once found a tortoise miles from anywhere. It lived for around fifty years in the garden.
  11. Making memories fishing with my boy

I can still clearly remember my first fish, caught in the Thames at Datchet when I was about five. The war was on, so a trip out was a rarity. I think Dad knew as much about fishing as I did, so it was a bit hit and miss. I finally caught an extremely small roach, and I can still remember the...
  12. Pine Marten - and other predator releases

Yes, to both. Hedgehogs in particular showed a marked increase in numbers. Now, once more, I'm finding their skins, so they won't last long. The incidence of BTB has started increasing once more, both totally predictable.
  13. Pine Marten - and other predator releases

I saw on the news today that they have finally stopped issuing badger cull licences. What a farce that all was. Four years ago, we finished our very successful cull here. Now, badger numbers are almost back to what they were, pre-cull.
  14. Drying cases after tumbling.

I pur mine on the woodbunerr on a rack in winter, and like BJ, in the sun in summer!
  15. Barbour

I got a Percussion reversible jacket and trousers from Deben Industries around thirty years ago, and they're still going strong. The jacket has seen a lot of wear and has faded a bit, but it's still okay.
