Thank you
I am tempted to start another thread to discuss. As @cookingfat said, this one has gone down a rabbit hole. It’s a good one and important as a lot of uncertainty that we might be able to cover.
However point of the original post was to let people know that Hampshire will be...
There is this one advertised on here.

There are also two on the BASC site...
I’m sorry for pushing back but that doesn’t match with the training, induction or evidence.
We are starting to touch topics covered during the course, plus additional training given to HAD volunteers so in deference to people running the courses, I want to be a little careful on my response...
I won’t be able to do it justice in a post but it covers a lot of topics. I know there are some courses advertised on here at the moment and they’ll be able to give more detail.
Shotgun is the most common but it isn’t always the right choice. You might have to use rifle, knife, 410 pistol or...
No but I did the course because I wanted to. I knew it didn’t guarantee entry into the scheme but I’d already done some dispatches after tracking down wounded deer and wanted to learn more about how they did it. It is different on a road or urban environment, some things you don’t come across in...

Yes had one mid May. Coat was a bit raged but otherwise good condition. There was a doe around at the same time who was head shaking but the buck wasn’t. Also not seen them before in my part of Hampshire.
Hampshire are going to be opening applications for their scheme soon. Info below

I do agree. I’d have handled it differently but I’m perhaps more aware having been through FAC grants and renewals. Also not naturally inclined to refuse any question they ask.
On the other hand I also think there is a problem in principle with the firearms teams making judgement on medical...
thanks for sharing and sorry to hear about your diagnosis.
I did get some more detail.
Official notification was not provided. It should have been handed over by the firearms officers when they came to confiscate the shotguns but they didn’t.
My neighbour got a copy via email after...
Hi All
Thanks for all the great comments. Some very hard stories in this thread and I am sorry for those who have been through such experiences but grateful for them being shared. Also good to hear from those who had a positive outcome. Thank you.
I got some more information which I thought...
