    Stumps are bad to burn but ground up or left to rot is worse I had two ground up and the area does not even grow decent grass fungi of many guises yes black ones brown ones smelly ones slimy ones but worthless area of sinking rotting wood chips is all I have. better to hire a skip than that

  4. Does adjusting trigger pull move your POI?

    I'ts only natural to shoot to a slightly different POA with a lighter pull very marginal though .I have a krico with a set trigger in 22Hornet on set trigger it is devastatingly accurate because you only have to think squeeze and the round is on its way.

    Nice one JockStalk was it under new format all done by Email .I just done final icr today for someone he asked how long it would be before he heard .He will no doubt get a phone call from his assessor soon.

    Hi Darren I tend to take these sites with a large pinch of salt . Hell of a lot of "ex perts " on this type of site and chancers .I know now't only just starting my 50th year!! its great retired now from Building trade so can stalk whenever I want ;)

    At least a Yorkshire farmer was found not guilty when he shot an intruder in the foot at 2AM the intruder was a regular burglar and claimed him and his accomplish were rabbiting !! I ask were they prosecuted for poaching?

    You have the answer to your own problem if you don't enjoy shooting 270 find a different calibre you must know where to find a range and rifles to try various calibres find one you are comfortable with you will shoot much better and it follows enjoy it more. too many people preach firepower but...

    As said thats stalking .there are many reasons for a miss .wind, unseen branches ,heather and even grass on the line of the bullet but not in the line of sight, I have seen quite a few people who have not seen obstructions between rifle and target over the years myself included .

    I damaged my eye a year ago and lost a few points on my long range vision and found it a real problem wearing glasses for early morning stalking so went for bifocal with light reactive coatings just have to live with it now:cry:

    I would guess Foxes will be going out at dusk now especially Vixens they will b hungry with growing cubs in their bellies ,I seem to shoot quite a lot at dusk in spring most years when waiting for Deer most estates say to me fox first every time as they are more interested in reducing numbers...
  12. White red hind?

    You may find them near Aberfeldy there is a farm there with white ones in the breeding no rhyme or reason to them appearing a normal looking hind can produce white ones and a white stag will produce normal coloured hinds. Fletchers will have some also.

    Had to pack mine up on rear mount with photographic paper but otherwise no problems deadly on my hornet day or night i'll give it thumbs up
