Reduced to £65 posted - happy to send it out on approval to Well-known Members so that you can see the ring marks are just cosmetic, and not crimps

  5. Sold: Schmidt & Bender 6x42, £125

Another “pre-loved” fixed scope: a classic German-made 6x42. Glass good: 4A reticle 26mm tube (Optilocks or Sportsmatch both work; suspect Rusan also do rings in this size). Lots of marks on the paint, mainly from gunsafes etc: no crimp marks. Happy to send more pictures via PM if required
  6. Sold: Lisenfeld 8x56 scope: REDUCED to £65

Lisenfeld Spezial 8x56mm, amazingly still with the original box! Its a 26mm tube: hence the ring marks - no crimps, just the coating rubbed. Optilocks work really well, I think Sportsmatch also do 26mm rings. Glass is great, with a classic 4A reticle. A good scope, especially for foxing etc, but...
  7. Sold: Norma N40/R40 5-round plastic clips

I have about a dozen of these spare - they are the fillers from Norma ammunition boxes, and perfect for carrying spare rounds without them making a noise in your pocket. They take a pretty wide range of different rounds, examples from L to R: .300 WinMag (a bit tight) 9.3x74R 30-06 6.5mm...
  8. Stocks

I have a Boyds laminate stock on my Quad - took a bit of work to get it fitted, but lovely now.
  9. Fench hunting licence

You will still need a permis de chasse. And, if on an organised shoot, insurance (and hi-viz)
  10. Effective range (military specifications)

For the purposes of the OP's original request, No, because that is not an effect that an appropriately trained soldier could be expected to achieve/sustain in battle. And so it is not the effect that the military would plan for with that weapon/system
  11. Effective range (military specifications)

Just to cover a couple of your other calibres: .338LM: 800m (but 600m first round kill), 1100m (harass) .50" (HMG): 1200 (tracer burn out), 1800 (strike observed) 9mm pistol is given as 30m! I very much suspect that almost all the other rifle calibres would be grouped either with 5.56x45mm or...
  12. Effective range (military specifications)

I think you are asking for a level of detail that simply does not exist for military definitions of effective range - the military does not assess this for a cartridge/calibre, but for the weapon system Thus, the identical cartridge, 7.62x51mm, has the following stated maximum (i.e. effective)...
  13. Fench hunting licence

For these purposes it is your FAC with the appropriate conditions, as you quote. It is the only administrative (= “official”) document we have - DSC etc are not issued by a government agency, so do not count. That was confirmed to me by the Federation I applied to.
  14. Fench hunting licence

https://www.thestalkingdirectory.co.uk/threads/a-weekend-trip-to-shoot-in-france.252296/ I put this up a couple of years back: not a lot has changed in the French systems since. Key details: you need a formal invitation letter, membership of the local departement chasse, and recognnised (=...
  15. Wanted: Swarovski Z6i 1.7-10x44

Alas, mine is not for sale, but the Z6 1.7-10x42 is an absolutely beautiful do it all (almost!) scope - hang on for one. I traded up from a S&B 6x42 and really noticed the difference, especially for load development.
