Ok every man to his own!

Hi lads, the Sako S20 has just arrived in my neck of the woods last week! I had a chance to handle a 308, 243 and a 6.5x55 creed more. Have to say the 6.5 c m with its 24" fluted barrel, ergonomic thumb hole grip and an integral picatinny scope rail, makes it a hell of a piece of kit...

some great dicussion on this thread. amazed at the different points and approaches to barrel cleaning and how it might affect bullet accuracy. so cud someone recommend product names and where they cud be bought online. Thanks

agree fully with all previous members. important point is always keep the skin on. personally i always hang my sika deer in a cool room for atleast 2 weeks.

Cheers lads to all advice so far. cleaning cud be the issue but the question is how often should one clean a barrel? i have a sako finnbear 270 and stalk atleast once a week but only might have fired 20-25 rounds since last oct!

Hi lads is there any way to over come the 'flyer effect' from the first bullit down a cold barrel? sometimes this could mean the first bullet hitting 2-3" at 2 o'clock off centre while the next 2 bullets have a a half inch grouping nearer ctr! any advice appreciated. sean
