Hello all,
Amongst the conditions on my “closed” FAC there is this one at the end.
The firearms and ammunition to which this certificate relates may also be used for target practice or zeroing at a range in respect of which a range safety certificate for that class of firearms is held.
So while...
To add another comment, the second police person that did a land check for me was going to approve a field of mine for up to 22-250 until I explained to them that it is not the same as a .22RF 😂
(You might say I metaphorically shot myself in the foot there and should have kept my mouth shot but...
The land check system is a peculiar one.
I’m on a closed ticket.
I’ve had two different people from the police check land for me.
One said the land was checked against an objective standard of a “novice shooter”. The idea being that they deem the land safe per caliber for any closed ticket...
Howa 1500 24" .308 in mdt field stock. First deer stalking rifle. Only been on foxes and rabbits up to now.
Good value, I have a 22-250 howa already and get on with it well just dislike the hogue stock. this will do the job nicely!

Feel free to discuss further but I’m going to stare at my new rifle while I wait for it to stop raining 😂

I was buying a rifle not so long ago and tried to pay via apple pay on my phone from a Co-op account. The payment was blocked, no surprise there I thought as it was a lot of money and I have recently...

As I’m going to Canada anyway I reason I could buy one there and bring it back.
I’ve looked up that if the value of what you bring back is under £320 (total) and is for personal use you don’t have to...
I’ve just had my .308 variation approved. 10 weeks exactly from payment to phone call approving the caliber. Probably 12 weeks total from me posting licence to receiving it back.
