Definitely worth a read. I got a first edition years ago and I believe it has been added too. Very Teckel centric but does compare other breeds. Also not much about working dogs off a long line as most states don’t allow loose dogs.

Legally you only need to check rabbit and hare traps daily. Protection of Animals Act 1911 (Section 9) However Animal Welfare Acts (2006) require regular inspections to prevent unnecessary suffering - so you would have to justify not checking daily if some anti found a leg trapped animal before...
