  1. Largest House Spider?

The largest house spider in Britain (in the Guinness book of records)was found in the road adjacent to ours. We often have its offspring in our house. The same as Sako 85, put them out and they keep coming back in.
  2. Poetry Please (#2)

The curfew tolls the nell of parting day A motorist drives swiftly o'r the Lea A pedestrian walks wearily on his way And leaves this world quite unexpectedly.
  3. ST. George's day

He must have stayed a while in England, as he Killed a Dragon near White Horse Hill. The dragons blood ran down the sides showing bare chalk and no grass grows there even now.
  4. Volvo XC 90

06 model, had it six years now as needed seven seats for extended family and an off roader. It had just turned 200,000 miles. regularly serviced.Winter tyres, goes anywhere and does all my stalking needs.
  5. New powers re trespass?

Tom, feel I should put the record straight. Our Son-in-law joined the police force six months ago and is certainly in the thick of it, although in a rural area. Has made arrests weekly and had to use force on many occasions. Don't knock them, it's a difficult job.

    Support. Go for it Kes
  7. Family stalking vehicle

Have had my 06 plate XC90 for eight years now and it has just tripped over the 200,000 miles. Regularly serviced and has not failed an MOT in that time. It has been regularly used for stalking and can easily get to a downed fallow to save a drag (winter tyres always). It has been regularly...

Hi Home Loader, yes it is. I received one a couple of days back. Decided to ignore it and see what happens.
  9. Rip off insurance on my truck

The same happened to me. When the re-newal came up, found another quote and the original insurer was most upset, saying they could have obtained a better quote if we had asked. My reply was, why didn't they do it. Then put the phone down.
  10. 6.5x55se, 120gr and N160 load max

A few years now since using N160, but my records show that my best groups were from 50. 93 grains. This gave me an average velocity of 2924 fps through my Sako 23inch barrel. A comfortable load with no pressure signs. Over the years, powder manufacturers have been reducing their maximum load data.
  11. Doghouse Frilford Oxfordshire

    Will be there.
  12. XC70

Had XC 90s for years now. didn't want the discomfort of a pickup. Rubber matting in the back, a dog guard and a builders tub for the deer. It will never be a Land Rover, but with winter tyres on and it will go most places I need to get to. Haven't needed to drag a deer more than a few yards.
  13. 1st February !

Hi J, A rhym we said at school went 'If on Candlemass day it be fair and bright, winter will have another flight. If on Candlemass day it be all wind and rain, winter has gone and will not come again'. Out on 'Keepers day today. Not pleasant at all and called off after four drives. A bit tricky...
  14. Calling wiskey experts.

Another for Highland Park. But if you want to go Balls Out 'Scapa' if you can find it.
  15. Vit powders

Hi QB, I have fired ammunition using N560 in my 243 and 6.5x55 (both BSA CF2) in competition. Typically 2sighters and 10 counting, and two more rounds of ten shots during the day. After this you couldn't touch the barrel for several minutes. I was concerned about barrel wear, however, one club...
