  1. First trip to Scotland

Keep the bipod. A tall one to get you up out the heather.
  2. What quads can you get in an Ifor P6e?

It's powerful, pulls well, really good engine braking, very capable with the right tyres. Bad points are that it's heavy, so when it does get stuck/bogged it's difficult to get out on your own. Get a winch! It's also quiet noisy. I'm looking to get another exhaust silencer.
  3. What quads can you get in an Ifor P6e?

Yup, got some photos I took a few years ago for the same purpose... to show someone how the 570 fits on a p6e! Note that my bike doesn't have the front bumper bar thing, but it does have slightly oversize tyres and still fits. I've got an older photo of a can am 400 (450?) on the same...
  4. Yew Tree Options

Oh? Discontinued? Or just difficult to find?
  5. Wanted: Tikka T3 Stainless Action

    Can this be done? Interesting...:-|
  6. Sold: Minox zp5 3-15x50

I think people generally associate minox with their more budget scopes. They don't realise that the zp5 models are up there with the best stuff. I have a 5-25 version, my dad has two. I was very tempted by this to replace a 3-12 PMii.
  7. NHS Drones

There was a TDA put in a couple of years ago for a Oban-Lochgilphead UAS BVLOS trial carried out by Skyports and the ESA. For the same purpose, NHS drug delivery. It was flown successfully. I believe there have been other similar UAS trials. Airspace change proposals on the CAA website is where...
  8. What quads can you get in an Ifor P6e?

I get a canam 570 on a p6e. But only without the mesh sides, and backwards. It's just luck that it works in that orientation though. I suspect that at least the footprint of the wheels of your trx420 will fit, it's just whether or not the front/rear bike overhang will foul on the trailer ramp...
  9. Gaiters. Who is using them.

Barbour waxed gaiters. Cheap, keeps the water, ticks etc out. They last ages and you just re-wax occasionally. I use them without the strap that goes underneath the boot because it clogs with snow and they work without it. Could replace with a bit of cord or something though.
  10. What are the bad points about the Blaser R8?

I have the basic one (non-thumbhole plastic stock, light weight barrel). It's ok. It's very accurate and easy to shoot well. The only real issue i have is the non-stainless barrel. It sometimes gets a bit of rust start in the chamber (easily cleaned with a 410 brush), and the butt pad...
  11. Blaser R8 Pro Success Butt Pad

I was going to ask a similar question, but I'm not wanting to put another Blaser part on. They don't seem to wear very well at all (mine is pretty much non-existent at this point) Any good more sturdy aftermarket options?
  12. No more H4350 and a change of bullet?

Yes, I had some squirrelled away too! :(
  13. No more H4350 and a change of bullet?

Well, there's plenty to try, and some really good info there. I think the point that it's completely dependent on what powders I can actually get is unfortunately a major factor. I know the vhit powders are available fairly locally, but given the recommendation of RS60/RL17 specifically from...
  14. No more H4350 and a change of bullet?

I've been using 143gr ELD-X and H4350 since 2017. Found a load that shot well in my 6.5x55 and have been using that ever since (for red/roe/foxes). I've now loaded the very last of my h4350 and that happened to coincide with the last ELD-X bullets i had. So... an opportunity to try something...
  15. New chainsaw…Recommendations please

I had issues with a husky 455 that had a niggly intermittent fueling problem for ages. It ran fine once that was finally fixed, but I was sick of the sight of it by that point and it had to go. Replaced with a 550xpg. It's a wee beast. More power, a bit lighter, and lovely to use... and a...
